Your baby's first year of life is an amazing time, filled with discovery and enormous growth. Infants learn an abundance of new skills each day, such as how to imitate sounds and facial expressions; pulling, reaching and grasping objects; smiling and laughing. These milestones are not only key events in an infant's development, but they are also building blocks for abilities to come, such as crawling, walking, and talking. We celebrate and embrace each developmental milestone with enthusiasm, persistence, and joy. We also never forget that you are your child's most important teacher, so we'll work with you, give you daily reports, and offer tips on how to reinforce what your child learns in their time with us.
Our Toddler Classroom
12-24 months
As your child grows and becomes more independent, they begin to make the transition from an infant to a toddler. Children at this age are inventors, builders, problem solvers, discoverers, and dreamers. They learn about the world around them as they take things apart and put them back together. We give your toddler the necessary tools they need to aid them in accomplishing their goals, thereby helping to lay the foundation for all intellectual and emotional development to follow. We encourage...
* Fine and gross motor skills such as tossing, catching, rolling, crawling, jumping, and walking.
* Language Development skills such as reading and speech development
* Music and Movement such as dancing and singing.
* Identifying shapes, forms, and colors.
Our soft play area is specially designed for our toddlers as they develop confidence to walk and run.
Our Two-Year-Old Classroom
24-36 months
A two-year-old loves to test their independence and never stops learning. Physically, they perfect many gross motor skills like walking, running, jumping, and kicking a ball. They also begin practicing fine motor skills by scribbling pictures and squeezing play dough. Playing "pretend," learning games, and participating in hands-on activities are just a few ways we keep kids engaged. In addition to basic skills, your child learns about self-direction, self-reliance, and self-esteem. Toilet training is a major milestone at this age. With dedicated effort we make the toilet training experience as positive, natural, and non-threatening as possible so the child feels confident and ready to go at their own pace.
Our Three-Year-Old Classroom
36-48 months
Your three-year-old will continue to grow and develop in many ways this year. This is the age where they can say their own name and age, follow short instructions, show concern for others, understand “yours” and “mine”, understand the concept of counting, sort objects by shape and color, tell stories, pretend and play. We offer hands-on activities which are unique and knowledge-building, allowing them to learn and grow while fostering their curious nature. Our teachers use a variety of methods to help children grow cognitively as well as conceptually.
Our Preschool Classroom
4-5 years old
Getting ready for kindergarten is exciting, and we want your child to stay excited about learning and be ready for a successful launch into “big school." So while we increase the focus on math, science, language, and social studies, we make sure it's presented with a big dose of fun. Our curriculum helps children develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they'll need to succeed in kindergarten, school, and life. Teachers plan lessons to deepen the understanding of basic academic concepts through exploration, investigation, and play. We provide a place where children can challenge themselves and enjoy the thrill of discovery as they look forward to school. We encourage... * Language Development - thinking skills, dramatic play, storytelling * Social and Emotional Development - interaction, cooperation, helping others * Physical Development - indoor and outdoor play, games, dancing * Early Academics – Kindergarten prep-letters, words, numbers, early science & math concepts
